In the studio soon

The weather has been great, and so I want to go out in it, which is good, because I have a lot of raking to do. I am doing it in short time slots, cause there are sooooooooooo many leaves. I wish I had a leaf vacuum cleaner, that would be ideal.

I have also been inspired to work on my studio. A few things need to happen before I can actually do some art work in it. First I have to stain the floor. It is concrete, and I want it to be a little softer on the feet and the eye. I am not going to go crazy trying to make it perfect, because I will be painting in there. Paint will inevitably get on the floor. I can’t wait to be in there. No more painting in my living room, constantly cleaning up so as not to ruin my beautiful hard wood floors. Yay for a work space and a living space. > I have just drifted off into dream land and am thinking in bubbles, of what to do next, and I am getting a bit extravagant, so I am pulling in the reins until I get the tasks at hand complete.< I also need to paint the ceiling, which usually isn’t my idea of a good time. (that can wait though) Then it is moving things in, setting up and organizing, and settling in.

It will get me out in the back yard, which I have completely ignored up till now. I will have to give it some love that it deserves (which is a ton). I have not known what to do with it, and I have had no real reason to go back there, hence the neglect. I am not willing to look at an ugly space, as ugly is not so inspiring to me, so work on the yard is essential. I may have to call in for some help.

One day I will start putting pictures on my journal, so you can see what I am talking about. But, on some things I take baby steps.
