Ipod malfunction

My Ipod seems to have died damnit. i don’t know why, I haven’t had it for very long (well, a couple of years) , and I have taken very good care of it. It had a low battery, and so I plugged it in to charge, and when I went to check it, NOTHING, blank screen.

It is not in the budget to buy another one at this time, as my disposable income is about NIL, yet I have become completely spoiled by technology, and want my ipod.

BLAST!!!!!!!!!

My only hope around this, is that it is not really dead, but just sleeping, and I just don’t know how to wake it up. (probably just false hope)

The Apple Store is far away, and requires mental preparation for this midtown girl to go there, and I don’t want to hear that my ipod is in fact dead, making it a worthless trip. Not only that, I get the “wants” when I get there. All of the sudden, I “need” a new lap top, that has a camera on it. (someday)

Alas, we are in an age that relies heavily on technology, and while it is a great thing in many ways, it poses all kinds of interesting things to deal with.

Not very long ago, I did not have anything to do with the electronic world, aside from the basic landline phone (which I no longer have), and basic electricity, thus relying on my pen and tablet, and others who were connected.

I am glad to have opened myself up to a bigger world for sure.

Even though my silly ipod is misbehaving.

if they tell you you need a new battery, do not buy it from them. they will charge you $80. i know an online source of batteries for iPods that last longer than the factory ones. i had to get one for mine and aside from the pain-in-the-butt installation of it, it has worked wonderfully ever since. let me know and i will help you with it, if that is the determination.

if you wanted to try to work on it before going to G’Town, there are pretty clear instructions at the apple site under iPods and support. it will walk you through a Restore and a couple of other steps.

Arline is visualizing a beautiful new laptop with a camera on it, as well as a living and working ipod, right at the tip of her fingers :)
