plans for Costa Rica
I am organizing a yoga retreat in Costa Rica, from July 7-14th. it has been an interesting process no doubt. I can’t wait to be in the rain forest, with monkeys, and other interesting wild life, go to the beaches and other excursions, and I cant wait to practice and teach yoga in the beautiful open (but screened in) yoga room.
This will be the third group I have taken to Costa Rica, but this year, we are going to a more remote location. I have a lot more responsibility with this company, than I did with the last. The last company pretty much took care of everything, in terms of bookings, promotion etc, while this company pretty much takes care of nothing until all of us arrive on the 7th.
I have gone through a range of emotion around this, and while most of it has been good, there have been a few glitches that brought tears to my eyes. People have their concerns, and fears, I have mine as well. It is always like that when you are taken out of your comfort zone. Travel seems to do this, and with a group, there is no pleasing everyone. (that is a horrible thing for an inveterate, though recovering, people pleaser).
I am going to keep on doing my work, but I have decided to turn my fears over to the universe. They are distracting me, and I don’t need or want them.
I am grateful for those who are coming so far and for those who still wish to sign up. We are gonna have a blast!

That sounds amazing! So many people I know are teaching various modalities in Costa Rica this year. One of these days, I’ll have to go check it out. For now, I’ll just have to live vicariously. : )

I love Costa Rica, it is so gorgeous. I really need to learn spanish though. I don’t like not being able to communicate easily. One day I will learn.

I just booked my ticket, so now it is starting to feel more real to me. What a relief.

Arlinie, Don’t worry about pleasing everyone–you please without even trying. People are just glad to be able to go on the trip and it will be fantastic. Don’t let those little logistics drive you crazy. Maybe one of these days when I’m not pregnant, I can join you in the jungle.
love, Cate

I would so totally love that. Are you having a girl? That is the feeling I am getting?
