Take responsibility

I am going to complain for a second, but since I will probably not do anything about it, I should just shut up. Now let me just preface this, by saying that I am a HUGE animal lover. I love dogs and I love cats, but they are a huge responsibility. Let me also say, that I like my next door neighbors, they are fine people.

As you know, it is extremely hot right now, enough said on that.

My next door neighbors have a dog, and he is pretty large OK, well they let this dog out, as they should, but they fail to clean up after him, and I must say, the stench is overwhelming. It’s fetid and disgusting. I rarely see these guys, so when would I say anything if I were to say anything at all? I think they are nice, and I appreciate that they love their dog, but GAWD!!!!!!!! What is one to do????

It is obviously worse in the mid afternoon, as it is hottest at that time. I am not usually in my back yard then, but it is hot all of the time this time of the year so…

Alright, that’s enough of me complaining, and focusing on someone else’s shit, because it would be easy to go on and on and on. It would however be nice if my good neighbor’s would clean up their doggies.

Maybe I will secretly put the number of doody free (a service that specializes in this particular thing) on their front door, that way I won’t be a victim to my circumstance. hahahaah, we’ll see.

Um. Why are you hesitant to communicate directly about this? If they have a dog, it’s their responsibility to dispose of the doggie doo. Period. It’s a public health hazard, one that wrecks the plants in the yard, and one that is lessening the enjoyment of your home.

You don’t have to be confrontational, just polite, and very very clear. “I like your dog, and I like you as neighbors, but I don’t like the dog doo in the yard. Would you please try to do a better job of disposing it? Thanks!”

    Don’t suffer. Communicate.

my downfall is confrontation, puts a lump in throat just thinking about it. You are right though, I need to communicate, urgh.

My friend Amanda said the very same thing.

    It is nasty, and unsanitary.
